Tracks 2, 5, 9, 10 recorded at Columbia A&R Studios, New York City, New York, September 16, 1974. Track 8 recorded at Columbia A&R Studios, New York City, New York, September 23, 1974. Tracks 1, 3, 4, 7, 8 are alternate takes recorded in New York City, they were not included on the original album, the same tracks recorded in Minneapolis were instead. I spent a number of hours manually declicking this. Anyone who has used Wave Corrector knows that manually declicking is done visually as much as aurally. That is, you listen for a click then check it visually. Genuine clicks have a visual signature, completely different from anything produced by a voice or instrument. So, no one need worry. I haven't erased any extra-musical sounds, such as those produced by a guitar pick or shirt button, for our purposes they're considered part of the music. While I was at it I removed the double chord hit at the start of track 3 ( they were virtually identical at the highest zoom level, a control of dynamics beyond creatures of flesh and bone), anyway, obviously an error made when the Silver was produced. I also retracked everything, as one track (can't remember which) began at the end of the previous one.
